Went out to Cresent beach today with the wife and chillins. Looks to be a nice launch. Cresent beach it self is a private resort so you have to be camping there to use the beach, not bad. good beach launch, just small waves breaking on a big beach. Not sure about the cost though. If you don't want to camp at the private place, right before you get to it there is salt creek Clallam county park with camping. Then you drive over to cresent beach and the county has a small parking lot that you can use and wheel down to the beach. Now you can either launch in the river and get your yak out that way or wheel down to the beach and launch the surf. I am wanting to try it so I will put it on my to do list. It is just minutes out of Port Angeles. Head out 101 going to Neah, take the right turn on to 112 towards Joyce then go to Hayden camp road and follow the signs. You will come across the Salt creek park first, for cresent beach stay on the road to the left and you will run right into the front gates and beach. Fun to just check out the tide pools too with the chillins.

Salt Creek is on my list to check out, too. Everything I've read, or heard, sounds good about the place. Sounds like a good place to take the wife and kids, for a weekend on the wetside.
