get one of these:

~$40 with 2 day shipping including charger.

Color FF's with GPS eat batteries far faster than we all think they do. That power supply will last all day. I have soldered up a cigar lighter female plug,  that I keep in my Plano box so I can light my cigars, and so I can charge my cell phone or VHF on the water if need be (who hasn't forgotten to charge those up before fishing). I also a  have night "allround" light wired up to a male cigar lighter plug for night fishing to keep from keeping mowed over by the PB'ers. I just dipped all the connections in Plasti-Dip (aka Liquid Electrical Tape). All my tools are dipped in Plasti-Dip too. Keeps my younger brother from claiming them as "his".

The battery isn't that much weight in the grand scheme of things, ( about 3 beers), and in a pinch could even power a 12 volt Margarita blender! ;D

Does that charger have automatic cutoff?  Weird for Cabela's to have the best deal on the web.

I guess the question I have is, where did you find the Humminbird 767 Combo for as little as you did?  I can't find it for less than $450.

Found a battery for cheaper than Cabela's without the charger.

Well the 767 was recently discontinued and apparently some stores still think they can get full price (and they probably will)....I first ordered mine for 287 off of amazon.com but the store said they only had one in stock...they called me the next day and told me they hadn't updated there inventory and they actually alrdy sold the last one...I searched that day and found one other place productshipmarine.com that had it for 297 i think it was but shipping was 15 bucks so I actually paid closer to 310 or watever it was (don't remember exact numbers)...again they showed only one being in stock so I thought it was going to happen again...but the next day I got an email saying it was shipped...
I was kinda scared because as you said almost all the other stores I had heard of were selling it for 450 or more.  But I took it out of the box when it arrived and turned it on and everything seemed to work great...
I finally actually got it on the water yesterday...and its awesome...
I was skeptical of humminbirds...i personally didn't like the display but i couldn't pass up this deal with those features...I'm now a believer...I could watch my little 6 inch grub on a 3 ounce jig head all the way to the bottom yesterday at 90 ft...and i could see it everytime i jigged it off the bottom....and if i had a fish on it was bigger lol...i was having fun just watching my jig go up and down on the screen (shows how easy it is to entertain me lol)

Yep, that charger has auto cutoff and trickle charge.

How about Neophyte???

I'm a ex-cigarette smoker, but I enjoy a good cigar. I got a box of 25 Cohiba Dominican Robusto Fino's 2 years ago at Christmas, smoked them all in less than a month, now buy them 5 at a time. Lasts me about 2 months. I really haven't tried too many others. I keep Swisher Blunts in my tackle box for giveaways, but if someone gives me a hot tip or GPS coords, they might get a Cohiba. Down here in Cali., if you smoke anything except pot, people look at you like you are Satan! Especially if it is a cigar or pipe tobacco. I found a VERY good way to get the PB's to go away is fire up a stogie and puff away, and try to work my way UPWIND. They usually move away soon.

The local fly shop has cut down Sage flyrod tubes just long and wide enough to hold 5 -6 cigars, with the metal screw on caps, cedar lined, and it floats!

Congrats on quitting cigarettes.  I hope you are not inhaling your cigars.  I smoke about one a day.  Some days, two.  There is little correlation between price and quality.  If you like dried cigars like the Blunts try some Avanti Cheroots or Petri Toscani.  The Italians have a long, proud history of dried cigars and grappa.

Mail order is the way to go.  Here are some VERY reputable dealers:

http://www.jrcigar.com/index.cfm?page=cigars
http://www.cigarsinternational.com/index.asp
http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/cigars.cfm

Stay away from Thompson.

Some quick recommendations:  (if you are interested further, PM me)
La Gloria Cubana Wavell
El Rey Del Mundo Rectangulare
La Aurora   1495 Series Corona

There are lots of quality smokes out there and lots of crap and hype.
