Well Saturday was the big day. Finnally got everything together and headed out to the Kingston boat dock. Was a little nervous being this was my first trip on my new Yak, so I decided to go fish for some rock Fish insead of trolling for salmon. Caught 4 good sized rock fish and had a blast. I learned alot in that short trip about stuff I definately need, like an anchor system, higher seat back, forward rod holder, FF and something better to put my fish in. I had a collapsible mesh fish basket but it was definately hard to tow around.

I can see how catching a big fish would be a ball even my little rock fish where fun, when Ive got some experiance under my belt I cant wait to go salmon fishing.

Congratulations on the baptism.  You busted two cherries at once, first salt, first fish.  Nice.  I hope to bust first salmon on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday and add some points for AOTY  :)
