Question for the group. What length rod are you finding most user friendly for downrigger fishing out of your Kayak?
I am thinking I might just need to pick up another rod or two for my collection :)
Thanks,
Troy

I need another rod or two too.  Also will need a down rigger rod.  I need a replacement light spinning rod for the medium 8'6" Berkeley Air IM7.  the tip broke off whip casting a jig.  I'm thinking a foot shorter.  Suggestions?

Most downrigger rods for PB's are just fine for our kayaks but I prefer mooching rods. I like a 9' MH butt w/ a moderate action tip (My fav rod, G Loomis SAMR 1084C) Make sure to run braid as it will cut down drag and replace the wire on your DR w/ braid also.
