So I've pretty much sold myself on a Lamiglas 1302/03 for bottom fish and salmon. And I plan to toss my Luna 300 on it. http://www.lamiglas.com/prod_indiv.php?groupid=14

The question I have is there any reasons I should stay away from a 2pc.  For me it's obviously preferred as it would be easy to store in the rod pod over a 1pc 7'6".  But will I regret it for any reason?  Thoughts and suggestions?

All my salmon rods are 2 pc. I like 'em all.

I think it comes down to personal preference. I can fit my 8' 1 piece rods in the pod without issues. I have a mix of both one piece and two. The only concern with a 2-piece is casting the tip overboard - and I've only done that once.

In my Big Game rod pod, I can store rods up 7'6" easy, up to 8' with care.

Sweet I sold some stocks and the rod is getting ordered this afternoon.  I'm going with the 2pc.  I know if i stow properly there will be room for the 1pc but there is also the Neon to consider... Maybe I should just buy a new car/truck/suv
