Close enough for a bootie call or to pick up a screamin' deal on a couple of yaks.

Last time I drove down to Eugene for CL they promised they'd hold it for me, and it was no longer there by the time I got there...

It's a gamble, but that sounds like a hell of a deal

I'd pay $500 to someone who could get the Pro for me. (REI gift card)!

It's called METHford for a reason.  3 hours to get down, but, if you play your cards right, it'll only take ya 1.5 hours to get back.

Kidding.  Much love to all of our Medford-dwelling brothers and sisters.

Sweet deal for sure!

5 1/2 hours is more like it ...I travel that route quite a bit.
By going I-5 to Grants Pass and 199 to 101 to Brookings is 6-7 hours depending on traffic.

We are obviously driving at different speeds - all of my driving that far south has been at the asscrack of dawn to avoid any and all traffic.
Three hours would be fast.  I think the fastest that I have made most of that distance was a few years back going from Grant's Pass to Portland - made that trip in four hours.  Last trip down to Ashland on the 4th was around 4 and a half - left at 530, and got down there at about 945/10.

I think my problem is that I always think of Eugene as the halfway point from Portland, and not Roseburg.

The CL post has been deleted.  I guess someone already picked them up.  What was the "deal" anyway?
