He's a warrior, but he's not wounded (unless fishing with me would qualify as mentally challenged ;) ) Chappy's out on Whidbey Island for work (Navy man) and he'd really like to get out if anybody is available with a spare boat.

He's got plenty of time in the kayak (he won the redfish division of the Jacksonville classic (twice) and he's the one who caught the Tarpon in the big fish brag section) Although he has not fished much in cold water, his day job assures you that he can take care of himself (and you for that matter. He's a helicopter rescue swimmer) and he comes with a drysuit.

If anybody could get him out in the next couple of days (I think he leaves Friday) he'd really appreciate it and I guarantee that he keep you laughing even if you don't catch any fish. Which, BTW, ain't likely as he's got to be the luckiest SOB I've met. If nothing else, he's worth finding just to have a beer and swap lies. He's got some good fish stories (and most are even verified!)

Wish I would have posted this earlier, but time got away from me. I'll pm you his phone number as he left his laptop.

My bad. I thought you were saying he was on THE Whidby Island (as in, the Navy warship with the same name  ::) ). I was thinking it might be in port somewhere in the area. oops!

Sounds like an easy enough mistake to me. WTF is it doing in Virginia anyway?

Dang,

Wish I could help, but I'm busy with company this week.  Been crabbing in my kayaks with my cousin yesterday, but have only fished a few times this year.  I really don't know of others that live up here with a spare kayak.  Hope you find someone.  Fishing has been poor up here for awhile now, but I'm looking forward to some pinks this year....
