Ya I was talking with the guy at work that shot himself in the foot a few years back...
He said he couldn't pull the trigger on a gun for a long time after that...he said he went to the range and took his guns but when he was looking down the barrel he couldn't pull the trigger.
He's gotten over that though and owns many firearms.
I had to tell somebody though...Realistically I probably could have never told anybody...repaired the cabinet door myself and nobody would have ever known....

I'm glad you and nothing valuble was hurt during your mishap. You might consider buying a magazine and color coding it so you practice with it and not a "live" one. Here's a link to Midway and plastic practice bullets, if you're so inclined.
