I can't make out what kind of contest it is.  Prettiest kayak?  Ugliest?  Heaviest, lightest?  Ugliest paddler?  I suspect that it's a race... but from where to where?

I don't expect you to answer those, Richard.  I'm just critiqueing the Hoedown site.

It's a surfing contest. A bunch of us stayed out there several years ago on a Memorial Day weekend, when they also held a contest. We were too intent on fishing to pay much attention. ::)

T, no troubles. going back and looking at the ad, yeah , i can see your point. actually, was hoping nanook and other SInK guys would join in and give their opinions. might be fun to day trip up there to watch.
