I've been given the thumbs up to take my son out fishing tomorrow morning.  If any one wants to join us we'll try and be there fairly early in the morning out of boat ramp A.

HH looks like the best bet this morning.  Look for me out there with my caddy, The Bushman.

You got to forgive Brian. He must still be running on new Baby Daddy time.  ;D

Even worse then that, I'm looking at this afternoon rather than this morning now.  I should have posted my change in plans, but I was real busy this morning.  If and when my son wakes from his nap I'll head out this afternoon.

Well, I didn't make it to the lake until almost 5pm.  At least Owen had a good nap before we went and he was in good spirits.  We launched at ramp A and trolled down to the dam and back.  On the way down we saw Spot and a friend of his.   As soon as we got within earshot I here "early huh?".  Seems Mark had been there all day.  Anyway, for the hour and a half we were on the water we had 5 strikes, 3 fish to the side of the boat, and 2 landed.    Owen even let me land one myself.

Cute kid you've got there Brian!  He's going to be paddling his own yak and occasionally outfishing you in no time.   ;D  Don't ask me how I know.....   :-[

The trout bite was going strong all day.

I have Thursday and Friday off this week and I've been assigned Owen duty again.  If baby time allows, I'm going to try again hopefully a bit earlier.  Owen is generally good for about 3 hours on the water if I bring enough snacks.  I suppose I can always  beach it, picnic and bank fish for awhile down near the dam if he get's restless in the kayak.

Thanks again Spot for the wetsuit.  It fits Owen really well right now and he was excited to meet you after I told you that you were the one who gave it to him.  He actually tried to thank you on the water, but used his shy voice that didn't carry over the water.

If you want to keep him entertained by catching fish, anchor over a school of perch and let him keep reeling in one after another.  Keep 'em all if you want to do a fish fry with them.

Awesome B. Congrats on getting out on the water. Owen is racking up those kayak fish! Looks way too fun.
