Eagle or Hummingbird?  Does anyone have any input on which is more reliable for yakin?

Around here, you'll find that both are used and appreciated. Feature preference seems to be highly individualized. If you find a bargain, take it, Goop it and fish it!

Fish finders have been extensively discussed.  A search of the forum provided considerable background for me during my decision process.  Everyone here was extremely helpful in answering questions raised by my research.  In the end I went for a Humminbird, but I really needed a large screen (age-related presbyopia - you'll suffer some day too) and full GPS functionality.

Color contrast seems to really help and allow the 3.5 screen. My Hummenbird 383c is great and very readable mounted beyond my feet
extension.  Pricey though.
