Hello All - Anyone have pics or how to's on tethering your Mirage Drive to the boat?  Especially how long is the tether, where do you attach it, and what material(s) used? How do you handle if boat is upside down, Mirage Drive is hanging from tether and you are turning yak back over
Thank you,
holt

I used a 20" length of parachute cord through one of the pedal adjustment eyes and knotted it. I like the idea of attaching the cord to the notch in the drive better though (like the video). The other end has a brass clip that attached to a eyelet plug that I swapped for the cleat plug below the mast. The most critical part of this IS TO ATTACH THE CLIP!! ::)

That new Hobie leash is nice, but this really is an easy, cheap DIY and it's as secure as the Hobie assuming you attach the clip. :angry5:

Nate and Drew down at Oceanside OEX do a lot of helpful and funny videos. Their Pro Angler surf launch video is hilarious.
