I posted a while back about a short in my transducer cable. Turns out that the "+" terminal on the connector to the head unit is just corroded. Don't forget to clean your toys after you've played in the salt childrens.
DAMHIK

Initially, I was stumped as to how to fix it. I had to hold it "just so" for it to make contact and work. So I cleaned it as best I could and found that there was not much of the pin (socket ?) left. Then in a moment of clarity (must have been a Thursday) it occurred to me to shove a tiny bit of aluminum foil in to the hole. Voila! Soild contact and no more problems! (at least with that)

Did you get the tinfoil from my hat?  There is a small area missing from the brim and I don't appreciate it.
