My buddy and I ventured out into the Columbia above The Dalles today, and what a day!  SUNNY, calm, and the bite was on.  Fishing in 27 feet of water, 12oz. of lead, and some fine squid did the trick.  Three fish in two hours.  Really it was two fish because the third was never actually seen, just reminded us that monsters do exist!!! (knot failed!).  We spent alot of time looking for a specific ledge, but once located and anchored safely we commenced to fishing.  It wouldn't have mattered too much if we hadn't caught fish because it was an awesome day to be on the Columbia.  Cheers!

Please enjoy the porn...

Those are some great Bendo shots!  Nicely done!

What were the sizes?

Hi Spot,
the first pic a small fish, probably barely legal? Did not measure and chose a quick catch/pic/release.  The second was on the larger side, probably legal, just couldn't measure quick enough.  I didn't want to keep one anyway so I slid the hook out boat side.  Really fun though, these fish were hitting hard on the bait.  The pic of My Buddy shows his "uberbendo".  He was giving Walleye a try by jigging a nightcrawler, and he got a surprise!  The fish was probably a sturgeon, it never new it was even hooked.

The hook was returned, straightened, and without the nightcrawler...thank you very much.

Nice work! Great pics! Thanks for posting your report!

Wish I could've made it out on the water today instead of staring at integral calculus all day. :confused2: It sure was a nice day!
