Okay, not sure if this has been mentioned here or not, but Goodwill rocks for supplying us with the various layers of clothes needed to go under waders, dry top, and or dry suits.  And cheap!

When I was gearing up last year for my first trek out into the salt via kayak, I had waders, and a dry top but no layers yet.  I approached many of the "rack" stores and found prices from reasonable to expensive on fleece, and under armor type layers.

Wife got me to walk through our local Goodwill and HOLY CRAP!   :o
Freaking gold mine.  In one shopping adventure, I picked up several fleece tops, fleece pants, and some under armor all for under $20 total.

Later in the year, I took DTS in there to show him the bounty of gear at cheap prices, and we both walked out with even more layers each.

Just today, my wife went back to try and get some layers for my daugher that will be participating in 7th grade Track and Field.  $20 got her several tops, several pants, and some running style rain gear.

Also, to mention about Goodwill, I have been hitting the jackpot on milk and pop crates to store stuff in my garage.  $99 each, and I think I have 10 or more now.  Dig through their bags, and backpack section and you can score some cheap tough zippered bags for $99 to $2.99 for fishing tackle.  DTS picked up some kind of bag that I'm not entirely sure what it was originally designed for, and it works awesome for his lake fishing tackle.  Very well organized and was something like $3.99 I think.

Your mileage may vary depending on where your Goodwill is located, and I'm sure if you find one near the better part of town, it will have alot of goodies on the cheap.  8)

I use the Goodwill in Redmond for the very same reasons.  I have bought all my fleece wear and two (new) Columbia storm wear rain jackets.  When you pay under 10 bones for a Columbia, who cares if it gets a little bait juice on it?  I also purchased a softside cooler for bait storage and of course my table ware collection for making jigging spoons.  Never know what you could find at these stores!  I agree with Insayn, the store rocks.

I seem to go to our Goodwill every Thursday while the kids are in Taekwondo class, as it is right across the street.

For my garage fabrication attire, I landed a brand new pair of the black heavy duty Carhartt overalls that still had the manufacturer tags hanging on it for......$12.99.  At our local Coastal Farm and Ranch store they sell the same exact ones for $97.

That's a great Goodwill in Forest Grove. I've shopped at a number of their stores in Oregon and always find something I can use without worrying about throwing away my money. I even picked up a dozen or so butter knives to make ling bangers out of. I'm always looking for cast iron goods as well.
