I need to get in some fishing this weekend, preferably out of town a ways. Can be with or without the 'yak.

I've heard the Kalama is a decent option right now for springers and steelhead. Anyone ever fished it from the bank?

I've also heard they are getting a few wild steelhead off the west side of Whidbey. Anyone been out there lately?

I'm open to any thoughts you guys have.
