I've got some time on Saturday where I can get out on the Willamette for the afternoon. Wondered if anyone wanted to do a little smallmouth fishing with me? - Yokut

I need to get out and wet a line, and would have loved to go out, unfortunately, I work Saturdays, and 99.999% of my fishing gear is still in CA.  I do have with me a cheapo Costco spin combo that's been in my trucks bed for oh, maybe 3 yrs now. I'm sure the 6lb test line has transformed to 1.5 lb test and probably needs changing.

Also, have not got a licence yet.  Apparently don't qualify for resident license (Not here 6mo. yet) can't justify getting an out of state at C note+ each.  Don't remember what day licences run.

Thanks for asking Yokut.  I can't this weekend, but when the days heat up a bit, I'm up for it.  I had a blast catching smallmouth last summer on the Willy.  Keep posting your plans and I'll try and join you this summer.

don't forget the river is up and muddy, so it might not fish as well as it could in about 2 days or so.
