Idaho Laketrout reward

Hi from SW Oregon.. Just wondering if anyone does this or if worth doing,,
  Maybe  a   saltwater rockfish jig in deep water?

Way to dangerous to do by kayak, if the Lake your talking about is Pend Orielle (Which is the only lake I know of that has a bounty on macks and rainbows). That lake whips up in seconds to 5 foot waves and insane winds and has unfortunately sunk many a boat. And the wind and wave patterns are impossible to predict and often come out of nowhere and have personally experienced this in a couple of instances where the conditions almost sunk a 19 foot ski boat in one instance and almost flipped my 10 foot zodiak in another.
