Just a heads up I went out yesterday evening after work and caught six walleye.  They were nice ones too all 20-24 inchers.  This wasn't from the yak but I hit my kayak spot and caught the three nicest ones there.  People ask what's the best time to come catch them and my answer is always July and August.  If you decide to come don't forget your immersion gear shorts, flip flops, and sunblock. ;D  I'm glad summer finally decided to make an appearance I'm sick of crap weather.

Thanks for the heads up?

How long is the drive from your place to PDX?
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Boy, you ain't kidding, it's about time.

I love walleye fishing. The kayak slow troll should be an ideal way to catch them.
Are you fishing the Columbia? I may head out there next week.
Walleye are probably one of the best tasting fresh water fish there are.
