The handle on the Abu is one of the two it came with ... so I guess it is stock.

I really like the Toro. Paired with a light weight rod it makes a very comfortable bottom fish rod. I spooled it with about 200 yards of 50# braid.

I love the thick power handles for bigger fish.  Does anyone rrun the round, ball like, power handles?

The first picture is a round oval egg type handle. I also have the same egg shape on my largest spinning reel.

They are very comfortable.

One of the two options listed above is a round ball. It looks comfortable but I've heard can be a pain as the bulkier ball can actually engage the spool to lock during casting on bait cast reels.

So this update is a little late, but I went with the Tekota style handle. I used a Shimano Tekota 500LC in Canada last Saturday and I really liked it. The handle was very comfortable.
I hooked up on a 40+ inch halibut on the rod that had my Calcutta 400TE. The double handle had me wishing I would have ordered a single handle for this trip. It was a long way up from 200 fow on that double handle.
So when I came back home I did a little more research and found that Dave's Reels customizes a Shimano 400BSV handle to fit the 400TE. It has an improved counter weight, the same single handle grip that is used on the Tekota, and is precision cut to 8mm to fit the 400TE perfectly (machined to fit the extended gear box and star drag). I'm curious to see how it fits. It will be nice to have the luxury of switching handles depending what I'm using the reel for, especially since this is one of my fav reels.
