hello all,

love the forum glad I found you all.  so I need some help I am getting ready to buy kayaks for me and my fishing buddy (my 11 year old daughter)  we live on the hood canal and have been bank fishing all year and want to go the kayak route.  I am thinking of a prowler 13, big game or a trident for me and maybe a p13 or caper for her.  we want to be able to fish the canal and the seattle/southworth/manchester area and maybe the neah bay sieku area when we get better,  we would also like to drop a couple crap pot or shrimp pots on occasion.   what would you sugest.

thanks
carl

Welcome huntinhick! Those are some good choices so far. From what I understand the Trident is a bit more stable than the P15 so that will help w/ droppin crab pots and learning to fish on a yak. The Caper seems to be a good choice for your daughter since the P13 may be difficult to paddle for her since it's quite large.
