Is this any of us?  It most likely looks like someone simply didn't keep track of the tide coming in and lost their yak, at least I hope that was the case...

yeh, saw that.. hoping the same thing.. know we have some members in the area who own orange boats.. but it doesn't say if SOT or SinK

this is a great reason to put a waterproof label/business card/contact card/ return address on the inside of your yak..
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

That's why the C.G. started the Paddle Smart program. It costs $7,000 to get the helo off the ground, plus whatever watercraft and other personnel are involved in a search.

I hope the yak just got knocked/blown off somebody's dock.

Let's hope it's just a kayak that got lost unattended and none is in jeopardy. This is a good opportunity to refresh our safety procedures, how we paddle, with whom, where do we go and what info we left behind in case something happens.
Thanks for the heads up on the "Paddle Smart program" Ling Banger, does anybody know where/how to get those labels?

$7000 just to get it off the ground huh?  The Chinese must love that.
