I did a roof for a guy a few years back, who sold fishing rods when he was younger he had tons of dusty old boxes full of rods in his garage :banjo:  I told him i would make him 1.5oz river sinkers for a few rods (he lived on the Rogue) I brought him 20lbs of weights the next day. he gave me 10 rods! 2 surf rods,4 trout rods, 1 rod that is 11'long and the three i have posted. alot of the other rods were brand name and i have got alot of use out of them. Im trying to get all set up for the ocean and want to know if theise ones are junk? Target or walmart rods? just wondering what i got ???

Never heard of them, but the only true junk rod is the one you don't use.  You might as well try them out and see how they perform.  Just because a rod comes from Wally World  or isn't a Loomis/Lami doesn't necessarily mean its a POS.

If you've got'em, it couldn't hurt you to fish'em.

james,
i spent about an hour online this morning looking for the maker and came up with nada.. it may be that the company is no longer listed or doing business, but like others have said, if ya got 'em, fish 'em... fibreglass rods either work or they don't in my experience.. and some of the old school best came from taiwan..

I prefer fiberglas rods for some applications, they are less prone tp breakage than carbon.

When I first started sturgeon fishing I used one of those in the 6' 6" version.  I paid 20 bucks for it when I was about 14 years old.  That does not mean they are junk it just means they aren't expensive.  Solid glass rods aren't the most sensitive rod you'll ever feel but they are hard to beat for tuffness.  I'm sure the one I used to have is still around and in one piece but I cant say for sure because someone stole it out of my pickup.  If they are the action you want to use they will work well for stuff like rockfishing, and if you dump it in the ocean you'll only be pissed about the reel you lost. ;D
