A quick report for this morning's Tengu Derby. Nearly 40 contestants hit the bay at the crack of dawn in search of the mythical resident blackmouth. The tally at 11:00am for the derby was 1 chum that was in the 5 to 6 pound range. It didn't help that the Muckleshoots decided that mid morning on Sunday would be a good time to lay out a half dozen nets in the bay. At least the weather held and made for a pleasant time on the water.
