Every time I see Pygmy at a trade show I ask them when they will be coming out with plans for a SOT kayak for fishing.  The answer has always been to ask John (John Lockwood, the force behind Pygmy).  John has been off traveling for the past 18 months or so.  But I was finally able to meet the man.  We had a long conversation about hull design and I learned so much.  You can tell how passionate he is about boat design by the way he lights up when talking about it.  But alas, it's probably not going to happen for a couple years.  That is unless they get a lot of feedback asking for a SOT.  So if you're interested in building a SOT kayak, email the guys at Pygmy and let them know ... Will do; I'm sure John could design something that would blow away any of the other boats out there.

BTW, John is an avid fisherman too.  He told me about his largest off a kayak, a 103# halibut.  I didn't have the heart to tell him about my shark.

Might fine best. I'd have to add 4 of my best to get there! ;D
Not many people that could get to your best off a yak Pole2. Well, maybe 3 others..  :D
