Thanks for the report Roy!
Damn I need a good salty day!

Sweeeeeeeet conditions! Like Roy said- got a little rough toward the end though... I still feel like my bodys is still moving around.

Back home safely...check!
Gear cleaned up... check!
Fish cleaned......... check!
Belly full of fresh fish and a couple of barly pops... Check!
Ready to go again-------CHECK!

2 Lings (including the one as seen on the video) that were too small, but one measured right at 21 inches! (dang!) Then CBY comes along and gets one with a hitch hiker!!!! Thats a story he's GOT to tell!

Roy- I think the Greenling are just a little sweeter to the taste than the blacks, but too close to really fuss about. I would presume a lot has to do with how a person prepares them. Anyway, just my thoughts since we were talking about it.

Awsome day on the salt!
Erik
Better to keep ones mouth shut and presumed a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Glad you made it home all good.

Oh yea, the hitchhker!.. My first that i've seen come to the surface, It let go way before it broke the surface, maybe because the water was so clear, so had no time for the video. Funny thing was the Ling i caught was about 18 inches and the hitchhiker couldn't have been much over 24, ambitious fella...

Yea, Greenling are sweeter and i think a bit softer, but like you said the way it's cooked has some to do with that. Both mighty good eating.
See ya on the water..
Roy

I think green ling are one of the best eating of the bottom fish. Just behind ling and just ahead of rockfish. Remove the bone and grill them up!! soooo tasty =)
