Well, took the new Addy out today, and braved the mighty Columbia with the power boat crowd.  I launched at Chinook landing around 1030 and worked my way over to the Washington side of the river, trolling plug cut herring.  Current was ripping along really good and after awhile I anchored up and set for about 2 hour, hog lined with four other boats.  No bites and no fish seen fought or landed.  Headed back to the dock around 2pm and saw one fish in a PB and heard from another angler that the ODFW fish counter hadn't seen a fish all day.

Great day anyway, got to take out the new boat fishing for the first time and work the kinks out of the anchor system.  I think the waters just a little to cold (39 degrees) for the springers to really be bitting. Probably will be April 5th before the water starts to warmup.
If it wasn't for flashbacks, I'd have no memories at all.

Congrats on making it out there.  Did you stop by Next adventure on your way home?

I stopped by after fishing to look at drysuits,  when I was taking my dry top off, I ripped one of the wrist gaskets.  I would like to upgrade to a one piece drysuit with relief zipper, but just have to get this one repaired and make due for a while longer. :'(

Way to get out there and get after it!  Success rates will only improve as the temps increase and the days tick off the calendar.    How do you like your Adventure?

Cool, it was great meeting you then.  I was the guy who asked you about bow tuning.

Bow tuning?   Do you use a pitchpipe, like tuning  a ukulele??  :banjo:

I use a longbow, the only tuning you can do is to twist the string for more/less brace height.

The Adventure is living up to everyones high recommendations,  the mirage drive is AWESOME!!! Even with a strong current yesterday I was able to make headway up the Columbia, I can't image trying to do this with a paddle boat.  I was surprised at anchor, that it was so stable, it didn't want to swing from side to side.  Hopefully in the future I'll be able to meet up with some of you and give this new boat a bloodying up.  Ndogg, nice to meet you, still trying to put faces to some of the names around.
