I came across this safety flag at Beaverton Honda (motorcycle dealer) with a slick little quick release. Just thought I'd share. It simply has a bolt on the bottom of the quick release that you just drill a hole and bolt to your yak. It pops in and out in seconds. Here are some pics.

I must have missed this the first time around.  Nice find Noahk!  That's pretty slick!

Looks like an adaption of a quick connector used in pneumatic (air) hoses?! Plumbing compression fitting used to attach the pole to the connector.

Cool idea and easy for a DIY imitation.

Thanks guys. That's exactly what it is but I can't take credit for combining it. I was just looking for the tallest flag and happened to come across it.

Looks good, but you better paint it up, or grease it up, or a half dozen trips in the salt and it's going to be shot.

Yeah I forgot to wash it down after the first. It's on the to do list. Hey by the way thanks for the beer that day, it hit the spot! Dead Guy is pretty tasty.l
