I haven't had a chance to get out looking for Springers for a couple of weeks.  Is anybody still working the Willamette or the MC?  How about Tillamook Bay? I am  hoping to get out this next week. Any thoughts on best locations right now? Is it time to hang up the herring and go to spinners? Thanks, Dave

There are still lots of fish around.  Finding them and getting them to bite is the trick.

Spinners and herring are both being used with limited success.

Tillamook bay is getting occasional pushes of fish.

After 25+ hours on the willamette without even a bite. During that time, I only saw 1 fish caught...I've given up until the water drops a bit. Spinners, prawns, kwikfish, blah, blah, blah

I wonder with the river being so high if upper Tillamook Bay might not be a good thing to try. I'm thinking tidal waters of the Trask? I have never fished it from a yak so I am not sure what the water is like or if it would be to tight with power boaters competing for space...
