Posted in the homer derby thread. But a guy on the Alaska forums runs these out of Kodiak and seems to do well. Has anyone tried them???

Looks really cool.

We ran standard flashers (with a hoochi) fishing salmon on dad's charter boat out of Homer, usually four lines in the water at a time.  Made for a heck of a tangle when two or more hookups happened at a time, those would be a deckhand's nightmare.

Bet they would work well for single line trolling out of a kayak, the extra flashers would imitate multiple lines running close together.

I agree. I'm going to run the large size off my downrigger ball and if I get ambitious run the smaller version in-line. Otherwise I plan on sticking to the standard flashers for in-line.  I'm wondering what the drag is going to be like.

They shipped pretty  quickly.  I got the large and small.  I'm a sucker for new concepts...not so much new gear...well that's not true either...lol.

Also picked up a few of the action disks.  They create the action I like on "non'action" baits.  Here's the large and small side by side.

Thanks for the side by side, puts the sizes in good perspective.

If you hook one of the side holes, does it give them a traditional flasher wobble?  It didn't say anything about it in the video, just had the front center hole hooked pulling a crank bait.  :-\

I doubt the drag will be much different than a standard flasher, heck maybe even less since it's spinning not flopping back and forth.  Be interested to hear what you find out when you give them a try.  8)
