I hope it's okay to do it this way.  Mods, don't hate me cause I'm stupid  :D

Just want to shout a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you that made ORC 2011 possible, and run SO SMOOTHLY.  I have not been involved with a group specific, small, event that was so well thought out (most are usually pretty pathetic).  The logistics, the food, the safety preps, everything!  My hats off to all of you that made this possible.  Mark and Allen especially.  And all those that did the food prep and cooking.  Wow!  Really NICE job!  And yummy too!

With the thanks, comes an apology.  I did not help at the Saturday evening event, nor did I stick around at the end for clean up help.  It felt really #$%^ too.  I am the type that actually enjoys getting in there and making it a group effort to get the work done.  I am dealing with a very temporary health issue that had me in a considerable amount of pain.  I almost decided to not hit the water that morning.  I would have just drank my myself silly Saturday night, but had to drive that hellacious 11 miles back home.  :P

For me, this was especially nice.  It was my first time on the salt in a kayak.  What a HOOT!  I had a ball, and learned a LOT.  Met a bunch of you that I have only read on the board previously.  Hope I can remember at least a FEW of you.  All those names get mixed up in the head, eh.  Especially when there is TWO per person to deal with (screen name).

Thanks again.  Had an awesome time!  Any one ever need a base camp to go out from in Depoe, look me up.

thanks Rawkfish for untangling my rudder. And thanks to pelagic paddler for getting the cooler for me before I passed out when I sprained my ankle. It was a cool trip to see so many helping the lame like me.

Robert - you helped me get my jig un-snagged from my bow handle cord. Wouldn't have been able to do it without cutting my line & re-rigging, Thanks bro!

I just happened to be the one in the area, Paul.  But, of course, it was a pleasure.  You are very welcome.  Glad I could help.
