Welcome to NWKA Octavio, You've come to the right place for learning about PNW kayak fishing.

You must be in washington  since you mentioned pinks.  theres a few people here that target those pretty heavily when there in.
See ya on the water..

Pretty slick amas!  lots of  stability there.  And when the pinks are here in August and September, you can have a real ball and stock the freezer for the winter!  If pinks got to be 20#, you'd never boat one, they're terrific fighters, especially on light spinning gear.

Thanks for the welcome,I'm in Federal Way and when the pinks are in Redondo beach is full of boats I'd like to give it a shot this year.I built the"outriggers"to help me stand up and fly fish but I don't think they work very well and I don't think I need them.

Looking forward to meet most of you,if there's a get together anytime soon let me know.

There's a good launch at the lighthouse at Browns Point, around the corner a good spot for pinks, well protected.

Is that PVC pipe or something stronger? I need to build a set that will be closer to kayak but not sure if PVC can take the twisting.

There are different schedules of PVC.  The thin walled is schedule 21 and the thick walled is schedule 40.  Schedule 40 is pretty stout stuff.

That's 1"1/4 PVC and I think is strong enough just make sure the location for the base is strong, that was my problem,or reinforce the place where the base will be.
