Hi,

My wife is proposing that I go on a solo fishing trip for my upcoming birthday so as a good husband I am doing what I am told.  I am thinking of a trip to Alaska or Baja.  I was searching online and saw that Rancho Leonardo in East Cape Baja has some package specials and that they now have a fleet of fishing kayaks (Hobie's) available to guests. Although I have been to East Cape many times I have never stayed at Ranch Leonardo. Anyone been to Rancho Leonardo? I have only gone to Baja in winter, spring or fall so I am wondering how brutaly hot it will be in August? Also wondering how big an issue hurricanes and tropical storms may be?

August gets brutally hot.

Are you flexible on dates?  I have one open spot left on my October La Paz mothership trip.

I am your man please PM me with the details.  Being the ultimate Northern European Gringo October is a much more palatable option to cash in on my wife's offer.  I am not so reluctant to fish out of La Paz since my ex-wife moved from La Paz to DC ;D.  The current wife informed me that my Birthday trip will be countered by a "girls gone wild" trip of her choice, ah the joys of marital bliss.
