Wow guys....long time no see...I haven't logged on to this forum in a while...but today I was browsing through TexasKayakFisherman.com and came across a post about a video of a kayaked catching an octopus....So I start watching and am thinking this looks  a lot like the PNW....then I see the kayak and start thinking....hmmm who do I know in the PNW with a brand new adventure island.....then I see the guy on the kayak.....I actually said (and I live alone lol) Hey I know that guy!

Log into these forums and sure enough...my prediction is right

Nice catch Zee...gotta say that is the last thing I would ever expect to catch...just goes to show u that you really can pull anything out of the ocean on a kayak

by the way here is another interesting thing that happened in Texas....not nearly as cool but still cool none the less  http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=172677

Well to be honest...I did a lot of fishing the first 6 months I was here then it kinda died off....my kayaks have been collecting dust for quite a few months now...but just yesterday I realized it is getting colder here...the trout and flounder fishing has apparently been quite good...and on top of that I won't die of heat exhaustion in 10 minutes....so I am going fishing this weekend for sure...

Hey ya Mark, hows the gulf Coast treatin ya?  it's been , what? 3 years?

actually I think going on 2 years in February
the years are flying by...can't believe I have been working for this company for four years (not to mention lived in 3 different states in that time lol)

Texas is good though...but I miss the cold water of the NW....I liked not sweating my insides out

I recently had a Hernia operation and was out of commission for quite some time...not sure why but that made me want to go out on the kayak (of course you only want to do it when you can't)
So anyways at least I have motivation now...

One of these days I may just have to take a trip back up that way and do some fishing if anybody has a spare yak :)
