Broke my camera mount so held the playsport in my teeth by the strap(a la Rory). while i'm fighting the fish the camera is upside down but when i'm filming the fish and the whale it's not. I was about 20 feet farther in when i first caught the fish had to peddle out of the oncoming whales path. Gets busy out there!

See ya on the water..
Roy

That was great coosbay. Your second fish looked like a big one to bad the third one got away.  ::) Could you imagine hooking into a whale?

Cool video. Big black rockfish on light tackle is great fun! Way to get the whale shot as well

Not quite a whale but my line got caught in a pelicans leg for a few seconds, my rod bent and my reel went screaming and the poor pelican was pulled into the water. Thankfully with slack line I CnR'ed the pelican  ^-^

Nice!  Wow those whales were close!  I was rading those whales don't have the echo location down like the toothed whales so they rely more on passive hearing which of course a kayak is pretty silent against the background wave noise I am sure.

Sweet!
