Lost Lake Clatsop County

Going trout fishing tomorrow to Lost lake. Unfortunately my Harley took a dump yesterday so I am going to have to put my Outback on hold till I find out how much it is going to cost me to fix it. I talked with Ndogg at NA yesterday and was going to pull the trigger today, oh well it will wait.  Tomorrow will be a float tub for me. I will check it out for sure though for when I get my yak. I know that they stock the lake with keeper size trout and some trophy size trout. Also they put excess Steelhead in the lake. I will report back tomorrow when I get home.

well, how'd you do?

Lost lake was a nice small lake sure wish I had my Hobie Outback. Caught a nice bow about 15" and fat, black roostertail along downed timber in lake. Unfortunately I unhooked it and put it on my lap and she jumped back into the lake. Had a couple other hits but that was the whole of it. There were 2 other boats on the lake and they were also catching fish. On the way home I fished the main Nehalem River, only hit 4 runs and pulled 8 cuts out of them. I would say that the cuts are in. This lake would be a great place to take your kid to fish.

Yea lost lake trout got much more fight in them. the lake is so tranquil. Thanks for the report!
