That looks like an awesome dinner fish Roy.

It may be a Guppy but shot you back into 1st in the AOTY.  Nice work!

Hey it's chrome and definitely a salmon!

I see a few that size following my bait every now and then.  Was going to see about trying to catch a few to see about serving something different like one whole salmon per person.  too busy chasing the regular sized fish though.  I bet they are tasty though!

When it comes to Fall Chinook.  Those lil guys are without a doubt the best eating.

Nice one Roy.

I just had some fresh fall chinook today, too.   ;D Taste good right out of the Columbia.  I need to download the video and pictures for a report.  Clips may go into a few threads.  Particularly, the "things I lost from my kayak" thread.  Any more Hawg Troughs left??  I need a replacement.

Nice job coosbyyaker! Did you find it in the ocean or in the bay? If your herring wasn't plug cut, were you using some kind of nose clip on the bait?
I am going to give the Rogue River bay a shot on Sunday or Monday. Should be fun.

I was in the Umpqua River estuary and i was dragging a plug cut herring, it's what i use most of the time. Rogue Bay is combat fishing, be careful down there.

Thanks for the "heads up". I haven't fished it before but have heard that it can get crowded when the fish are in. Do they use plug cut herring in the Rogue bay as well? Dave

I'm pretty sure they do, and some probably use the new fangled stuff  too...
