That explains it.  I'm an electrical engineer myself and have had to deal with battery usage and charging scenarios on the job.

That's awesome.  Any other EE's hanging around on this site?  Sorry for the thread jack.

If anyone is interested, Dick's Sporting Good is clearing their Cuda 300 out.
MSRP = 79.99
Sale = 69.97 sales ending with .97 is 25% off
69.97 - 17.49 = $52.48

If you do their Survey you get a $10 off coupon good towards the purchase.

I end up paying $42.81, because I bought hooks along with the fishfinder, otherwise it would have been $42.48.   the 10$ off is distributed amongst the sales items.

They had 5 when I called, 1 for display, that means 3 left in a box.  The Gresham store if any one has an interest.

again thanks for all who responded to this topic.  I am learning a lot.
My next FF will be a colored with GPS as I learn how to maintain power, keep it dry, and charge the battery.

Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.
