Following all of the advice here I made my hard wheel setup for my Hobie cart today. Instead of PVC I ended up using the hard plastic pipe that is used as part of a lawn irrigation system. The nice thing is that I could buy one 8" piece for less than a buck and use it for the set offs for both sides.

Also I am not sure of the others' wheels but mine have no bushing just a hole through the plastic. When I looked at the Harbor Freight Tools in Cedar Hills these looked like the best choice ($6.99 a piece). The entire addition ended costing about $19. I may need to thin the clips a bit as the wire is a bit thicker than the width of the groove.

That turned out looking good.  It should be much easier getting up that launch at George Rogers. :)
