I've had my unit mounted in the mast hole near the hatch but with failing eyesight and
not having a long reach, I'm finding it inconvenient. Any suggestions on where to mount withought being in the way for re-entry, etc. would be appreciated.

Using the mast hole you must already be using RAM system, so best thing would be to get an extended RAM arm, then mount it on the left or right, you can pull it closer to you, or push it out of the way to paddle and or re-enter on a self rescue.

The arm you have might already be long enough.  tape it down with some duct tape and test it out.

I have my unit mounted on the left side of a horizontal bar crossing the beam of the boat at the mast hole.  Fishnut, you have seen it, but may not remember it.  I too do not have a long reach and use a RAM extension arm to extend the unit slightly over the side of the boat and toward me.  For re-entry the two balls on either end of the arm allow the unit and arm to simply be pushed out of the way.

However, I am NOT suggesting installing a bar, but doing something with the YakAttack Tracs.  I've looked at their current tracks and they are just a little too wide for the forward Revo gunwales.  I am looking forward to YakAttack's rumored spring release of a slightly narrower track, at which point I'll replace the bar with Tracs on the right and left forward gunwales.

Here's a link to the RAM hardware I used on my T13.  The only difference is for the Revo I replaced the lower ball mount with the bar mount shown in the photo above.
