Eastern WA - early spring

I am planning on taking the kayak east of the Cascades for a week in April, most likely 16-23.  Thinking of Moses Lake and Potholes for some walleye and bass fishing.  Maybe carp too. 

I've never fished these lakes that early, and so don't know what to expect or the approach to take.  Any insights and fishing/launching locations suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I assume this timing would be pre-spawn for both species.
