Had a great trip at Cannon Beach on Saturday.  I caught my first kayak Cabezon.  My brother met me with the dory on his way out and my way in, so I was able to get an on the water pic.

The surf was a little bigger than I would have wished, but otherwise a great day.  Here's another pic after getting dried out after rolling the kayak in the surf on way the home.

Right on.  Their pectoral fins (hands?) always amaze me.

I'm amazed at the color of the meat.  I really doesn't look very appetizing.  Cabezon, the other green meat ;D

For some reason, the green meat, be from a ling or a cabbie always tastes better.  After you try it, I don't think it'll turn you off anymore.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

I know, I've had it before.  It just doesn't look good.

Way to go David.   Looks like you had a great day on the water.

Beautiful fish! Cabbies sure put up a good fight!
