As many of you know the Dory fleet out of PC doesn't use VHF as their primary communication.  Most have, and monitor Vhf but choose to chat and share info on CB channel 5.  Saturday I saw several "radio bites' happening as dories converged on a specific boat that was on the fish, be they salmon or lings etc.  I really want in on this chatter (both for fishing intel and safety) but after a bunch of internet sniffing I can't seem to find a CB with similar features to our handheld VHF's (waterproof, handheld).  Anyone have any insight or leads, ways to mod available options for offshore kayak use?

This is the best I've found so far.  Now just need a dry bag for it.

Yea, about the only thing you can do is get a hand held and just get  a large heavy duty freezer bag to put it in.

As a young teen during CB radio's hay day,  I remember Soooo wanting a nice hand held and used to write manufactures for their current catalogs and memorized any electronics store add regarding them.  I do not ever remember seeing a hand held oriented towards the marine crowd.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't
