I took a bunch of my pics for rigging up my Tarpon and put them into a video with descriptions as to how and why I did certain things... Any questions or comments are appreciated..

Nice work. Your vid is well done. Its cool to see what others are doing with their yaks, especially their Tarpons. I have (and still am... its an ongoing process) rigged mine a bit differently. I'm not ready to post pics with my description right now, as I am finishing up some basic installs.

My anchor trolley system is being re-anchored in the bow area to some stainless strap eyes that hold my PA sail mast base down. Prior to this, I just ran my trolley from my right-side grab handle to my rear grab handle, attached via stainless carabiners. I might just forgo a rear trolley, since I like my anchor trolley to be on the starboard side of my yak, and I'm installing a rudder and rigging. I'll see if I can still run my trolley to the rear on that side and not interfere with, or bung up, my rudder drop/raise line.

I made some custom sliding bases for my forward slide trax, which have fairleads (pad-eyes) and clamcleats for my sail sheet.  I made these out of some starboard-like material, and used stainless surfboard (longboard center fin) fin-box screws and plates to anchor them in the slide trax.  I re-did the sheet rigging to make it easier for one-handed control. The original rigging configuration suggested by Pacific Action was sloppy and overly complex, and required one to let go of the paddle for a few seconds to use both hands to re-secure the "too small" sliding clam cleat on the sheet. After reading about the reasons for (and ease of) changing the rigging, it was a no-brainer. I also made a custom pad for the mast base to sit on, to protect my deck.

I made my own thru-hull fitting that allows me to easily install or remove my FF/sonar cables so that I can transfer the unit to other boats. My battery box is similar to the one Lee made for the lead-acid sealed battery. I glued some 1/4" neoprene to the bottom for anti-skid and anti-vibe. My transducer mount (wet foam cup) has yet to be tested, so I'll hold off describing that until I'm sure that it works OK.

With juice in the system, I have now hooked up the back lighting on my Ritchie dash-mount compass.

I bought a side plate for my slide trax that I'm putting a micro-Ram base on there for my FF mount. There's plenty room left on it for mounting additional stuff.

I bought an extra set (4 in a set) of those slide-trax tie-downs.  They might be useful when I get around to making and installing a leeboard system, so that I can sail slightly upwind (at less than 90 degrees off the wind).

Since I didn't get the fishing version, I installed my own rod-holders, two Harmony rear flush-mount tubes, and one Scotty base on the front-center of my foot well. I have my rod holder on a "gear head" mount that's on the end of an extension, angled up and back toward me, so that my rod is centered up high enough not to interfere with my paddling stroke, and within easy reach.

My milk crate can be secured via a number of lashing methods, hooking on to the slide-trax tie-downs. I'm not sure if I really need a milk crate back there, except to organize my anchor stuff. I might need all the space for a large fish bag.

My Tarpon 140 is still a work in progress. A bunch of other "works in progress" keep trying to knock it down from the top of my priority list, though. This juggling is getting ridiculous!

Nice looking setup so far.

I have aquestion about the anchor trolly though.  Why use a trolly and not a "quick release" anchor system?

I have a quick release for my anchor. I pass the anchor line(looped) through the carabiner, through the eyebolt and the into the clamcleats  that allows me to quick disconnect and come back for my anchor or anchors if needed. The trolley allows me to position my anchors. I can anchor bow and stern to stop any rotation while spot fishing. I wanted to be able to anchor off my bow from both sides. This is just an easy way for my to position myself exactly how I want to be for fishing.
