Hello, the other day I was in the right place at the right time and picked up a kayak trailer. It is the bottom one on the webpage below. (Canoe/Kayak 6 12).

http://www.genesistrailers.com/canoekayak.htm

It is honestly in brand new condition. The story behind it is that it was rolled and that the tree was bent. I lased the trailer and it is perfect. The axles and wheels tow in line and I am finishing the tree replacement. The tires still have the nubs on them. All I need to do is weld and paint.

I have the title and bill of sale. How much should I sell this for?

I bought an eight-place all galvanized (including the trees) trailer with better reinforcing for the trees and larger axles and tires for $1200.  So yours with a painted tree and smaller tires should sell for maybe $600 to $700.  Just my opinion.

I would agree.

Now, if you add a few NWKA, or Kayak Slayride stickers you should be able to get another $200 for the bling.  ;)

I think the one he posted is galvanized.  The pics are bad, but if you go to the home page of the trailer manufacturer it says "Galvanized trailers ... that's all we build".

It is all galvanized with the exception of the four top cross pieces which will be done with a cold process.  It really is in exceptional condition.  Thanks for the info on the one you bought.  I'll post pictures next week.

Any trailer in the NW needs to be galvanized ... otherwise you leave a trail of rust spots down the highway .... been there done that!  Good luck with your sale ... someone will snag it up.  Scout troops are always looking for small canoe trailers.

FINALLY FINISHED WITH THE TRAILER. Turned out quite nice. With the cold galvanizing process I was able to coat all of the replaced kayak tree members.  The trailer is completely galvanized. With the right tool boxes inserted in the frame it would make a great trailer. It is to big for my two kayaks.
Here are some pictures.

I have a guy from out of town that has offered $1050 for the trailer. I would rather sell it to someone from NWKA if they need it. Otherwise it going away.
