Depends how good the bite is!  But I'll probably fish on average about 5 or 6 hours.

I NEED a new seat.  I spent probably 8 hours on a lake and my ass was sore by the end.  My birthday's in June, so that'll be on the list.

I'll do something like that short term.  But I also need better back support.  So a new seat will still be bought at some point.

I was limited to about 3-4 hours before my a$$ritis would flare up (broke my tailbone in a college drinking injury).  I bought one of these and I have sat for 8 hours with no problems.

But they are $34.99.  I recently bought a non-fish smelling one to take with on airplanes.  I did a 14 hour overseas flight last year and I was in such pain I couldn't sleep.  I did put a hook through mine once, but it was easily patched with a piece of vinyl and some vinyl cement.

For $9 bucks I would give the one Islandson a shot.

Thick cooshy kneeling pads are usually the perfect size and cheap. Check out the garden section of your local hardware store.

I've found the more time I spend on the water the easier it gets. It helps to move around as much as possible, hang your feet, change position, etc. A butt pad is nice too but i don't use one anymore. I spent 10 hours straight on the water this winter trying to get a keeper Sturgeon. Thank you relief zipper :)

I cut and resewed the strap back together to shortened it a bit.  Now when strapped around the backside of the seat, it cannot slide forward during the day.

If I were developing a product and had all the bugs worked out, the last thing I would do before mass producing is send it to Insayn for a once over.  He has a knack for making everything better.

I'll have to sew mine too, I hate when it slides forward...great idea!
