I'm very happy to have caught and boated my first halibut, but as you can see from the last pic, I was not in a kayak.  We were fishing 31/36 which I would say is almost not doable in a yak, well for most of us not doable.  12+ mile round trip, likely with headwinds on the way home. 

Still hoping to be part of the yak butt club this year.

Both were right around 25# caught them within feet of each other about 1 hr apart.
