Yup, I too suffer from this kayak gear induced imbalance of skin pigmentation. It also effects the middle of my neck to my hair line.

this is gonna sound funny, but you might want to look into flats fishing oriented, spf rated, gloves and gear. White River fly shop, and several other online retailers who specialize in fly gear carry them. expect to pay about $25-30 for a set.

i experienced tiger stripe sunburns last week on my legs, again, even using a water repellant/ water resistant sun screen . long pants with spf ratings are gonna be my new friends.

oh, besides Dri Grip, the best sun blocks i have found on the market, are marketed by Neutrogena. El Paso last year while everyone else was getting burned to toast, i i barely got pink. Just hold onto your ass pocket, it can get expensive.
