I'm going to bainbrige island this weekend and don't know the area very well, Was curious if anyone had a good place to launch that is a close paddle to find some nice lings in the area. Any info will help thanks.

There is a boat launch at the south end of Bainbridge, Fort Ward.  Used to be a State Park but apparently has now been turned over to Bainbridge Is Parks and Rec.   I have launched there and went over to the south end of Blake Island to fish for ling.  It can be a bit of a combat fishery at times so be forewarned.  Used to be able to fish out in Rich Passage but I think that is now off limits.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

Ended up fishing around blakely harbor.  My wife got one rock fish but let it go of course.  Have any luck on the north side?
