Ok, so to keep from highjacking another thread anymore, I'll start a new one.

Goal Zero- a portable power company dedicated to solar energy and rechargeable batteries. This is great for the outdoorsy folks like ourselves.

What do I have? What can I run off of it?
1) I have he guide 10 pack and small solar panel.  Good for cell phones (2-3 charges) and extended life on iPads.  Will charge anything with a USB cable.  Also have a handy USB light that's great for reading and finding your gear in the tent.
I also have the extreme 350 and inverter combo. No solar panel yet, but soon.  This takes a few hours to charge, but can last you a weekend of camping if used frugally.  I run a few goal zero led hanging lights, charge my phone, and run my engel portable fridge/freezer.  Now, here's the thing....this sucker can run most anything (I think it'll even run a small tv), but you need to run as much stuff off of the 12v system as possible.  When you run power through the standard wall plug, you lose efficiency in power conversion because of the cooling fan that you need.  Another thing, I have to start off with my fridge freezer already cold in prefer for my power to last all weekend.  That being said, it's freaking awesome. I can power my gadgets and gizmos without any noisy generator and freeze my fish that I vacuum packed at camp.  No more noisy, ice melting, or dark nights without iTunes.  It can only get better when I get my panel to charge the extreme pack.

Great products and customer service.

I'm not a rep or an expert, but I like the stuff.
Cons- not many.. Just spendy.
No matter how many times the PB's tell me I'm nuts....I still smile every time I out fish them

The small 7 watt panel can charge my phone at the same rate as it normally charges is plugged into the wall, as long as the sun isn't interrupted.  I've also charged my camera and vhf.  I really like the goal zero stuff, and will probably pick up the 13w panel soon.

Thanks Kenai_guy. Thats what I was looking for. Looking at the website gives you some good info,  but real world testing is better.
